I know you've seen other estheticians posting before-and-after photos, raving about their services, and sharing their work openly. You might have even wondered why I don’t do the same. Honestly, I’ve read that these kinds of posts generate more interactions, and in today’s algorithm-driven world, that can lead to more business. Believe me, I want to grow and thrive just like anyone else — but I also value creating a safe, trusting space for my clients above all else.
When I welcome a new client into JAWS LLC, my top priority is making sure they feel comfortable. That means you can walk through my door, drop your worries, (and your pants ;) and relax without fear of judgment or feeling exposed. There’s something special about a space where you don’t have to worry about photos or cameras — especially during treatments where you could be half-naked and I am in your very personal space.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to show off your beautiful body everywhere — I completely support that, but I believe there’s a fine line between using photos for marketing and simply expressing yourself. No one should have to expose themselves for someone else’s marketing needs. Sure, I could find willing participants, but even asking feels too intrusive for me personally.
What truly matters to me is that, when someone walks into my studio, they feel safe and unjudged — not only in the environment but also in how they feel about themselves. Everyone who steps through my door is a unique, beautiful person, and I treat them with kindness, respect, and care — without the camera lens looming over them.
Your comfort and trust are what matter most — and at JAWS LLC, that’s always my priority.
Now that you know how I feel, I’d love to hear your thoughts. How do you feel about before-and-after waxing photos or videos?
If you are looking for a way to help me out with the algorithms, all you have to do is interact with my posts. Like and follow and comment on social media. Those simple gestures will help get me in front of more people. I always appreciate your reviews on Google and Facebook, those help tremendously as well. If you share my pages and website, even better! Those things really mean so much to me and they help more than you know. Word of mouth has always been my way, and these little things are the new word of mouth, it seems.
I’ve always said that I have the absolute best clients. I have been truly blessed with the pleasure of getting to know so many of you, and I want to met all your friends and family too!
If you are new here, please be welcome. I love meeting new and interesting people and helping to boost confidence, even in just a small way. Reach out if you have questions, even if you think it’s silly, I’m always happy to try and educate and answer questions as best as I can. Lastly, if you’re on the fence about waxing, dive in! The water is fine.
Until next time.
