Waxing
What to Expect...
Everyone that walks into my studio is important to me, and that is reflected in the service that I provide. I book my appointments so that each person gets enough of my time to ask any questions that they may have about their skin care, or just to vent about the day. Your waxing appointment is about more than just hair removal. It is about hygiene. It is about feeling good about yourself. It's about being able to be comfortable in a vulnerable position. My job is to make that as easy as possible, and I am pretty darn good at what I do. Just ask my clients.

I specialize in FULL BODY WAXING for ALL shapes and sizes, and I mean that. Big, small, red, green, inny or outty parts. Transitioning? That too. There is absolutely NO BODY SHAME ALLOWED inside my studio, and that includes your own. You come to feel amazing, and I am here to make all that easier. My goal is for you to walk out and feel FINtastic!

JAWS uses high quality fragrance free hard film wax for all of your waxing services. It removes the entire hair follicle without damaging your skin. Our wax is applied at a much lower temperature and does not need a strip of paper or cloth to remove it. I chose this wax for its ability at hair removal, but also because it is very nice to the skin. I have, to date, never had an allergic reaction, to any of the products that I use.

The web has done a fantastic job of making waxing seem hilariously scary but those of us that are regulars, well, we keep coming back for a reason. Let me show you the beauty of a great waxing experience.

Below is a list of the services that I currently offer, with pricing, as well as some frequently asked questions. My cancelation and no show policy is below as well. If you have any questions, or just want to interact with a real human (*without talking on the phone*) please never hesitate to text.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it hurt?
Yes. The wax pulls hair follicles from the root, and the process is not painless; however, people process pain in different ways, so what may be terrible for some may be only uncomfortable for another. Another thing that influences the amount of pain is consistency. Your first wax is the most painful, but with proper maintenance, meaning you come in every 4 to 6 weeks to be waxed and you stay away from your razor, not only does the process hurt less, there will also be less hair coming back. If you are worried about the pain you may also take ibuprofen about 45 minutes before your appointment.

Will the hair ever stop coming in all together?
Unfortunately no. Even with 'permanent' hair removal, such as laser, you must come back for maintenance sessions. Waxing does cause the hair to come back softer and more sparce than before if you are consistent.

How long do you have to wait after shaving to be waxed?
The hair needs to be long enough for the wax to grip the hair, and for each person that differs a little, but usually 2 to 3 weeks of growth after shaving is ideal. I normally prefer 3 weeks, to get the best first wax.

What is the aftercare for waxing?
Most people don't need a lot of aftercare right after waxing, but the area can sometimes be tender. Always remember the three S's NO Sex, Sweating, or Soaking for 24 hours after your wax. After that the most important thing to remember is to exfoliate regularly. I recommend at least 2 to 3 times a week. This will keep pesky ingrown hairs from becoming painful and irritated.

Deposit / Cancellation / No Show / Late Policy
In order to provide the best service to everyone it is imperative that I be able to stay on schedule. When you are late, or do not show up to an appointment, that effects more than just you. It is for this reason that these policies are strictly enforced.

*A minimum of 24 hours is needed to reschedule or cancel an appointment. This time allows for someone else to fill your spot. If you do not allow for this time, you will be charged your total cost of services.

*If you are late to your appointment you should be aware that your scheduled time will be shortened. In some cases you may not be able to get all of your services done. If I determine that you are going to be too late to begin any of your services, you will be charged as a No Show.

*If you forget or choose not to come to your appointment, or if you are going to be too late to begin your services, you will be charged the full price of your scheduled appointment.

I am a one woman business so it is very important that you be aware of your appointment times and show up accordingly. Your time management effects us all.
